About Us
After practicing law for several years, I needed to make a change. My father once told me that the key to success was to love what you do and the rest will follow. After thinking for a while, the answer was obvious. I initially began decatur paper as a creative outlet for myself, but in June of 2003 I stopped practicing law to operate the business full time. For five years, I immersed myself in the business. I had never worked harder and I had never been happier. In July of 2008, I returned to practicing law. As part of this transition, my focus has shifted to developing the full potential of the decatur paper website. However, I continue to offer private shopping at the decatur paper showroom. My goal is to provide my clients with the finest paper - be it party invitations, personalized stationery, wedding invitations, baby announcements, holiday cards, a custom design or the perfect gift - combined with an impeccable attention to detail and outstanding service. Thanks so much for visiting! Katie |

I have always loved fine paper and writing letters - the creative exercise of communicating and the act of putting a pen to paper (especially really nice paper!). In high school, I wrote to friends from summer camp. In college, I wrote to friends from home. In law school, there wasn't time for letters, and as a lawyer in Atlanta I barely had time to write thank you notes after holidays and birthdays. Even so, I still loved paper and cherished the rare occasion when I could stop for a moment and write to a friend.
